Hi Terri and Bobby, Havent talked to you in a while, just wanted you to know Gunther is 15 monthes now, weighes 160lbs ( last i checked) and he is the highlight of my life. Beautiful markings, i get compliments everywhere we go. Hes tall, Tallest ive ever had, and ive had them all my life. He gets along well with with his sister and my two kids. Well just to keep you updated Dillinger (formally Einstein from Lexus & Remington's litter 8/16/02) is doing wonderful at his new home. He and Madison (China & Orion's litter 8/20/02) are the best of buds. They spend 99% of their time together playing, fighting, growling and sleeping!! They are both wonderful pups with so much personality. I am thankful for having them both in my life!! I call them my babies, even though they are pretty big!! For anybody wanting to get a Dane, you could not ask for any better people to buy one from than Terri & Bobby. Thanks to both of you for your time in helpig us with both dogs. We had our Great Dane for 12 years when she suddenly passed with a heart attack while playing with her horse hoof dog treat. It's been five years and my wife and I are looking for another. We never bought our pet to breed or show, even though or vet insisted we should. We finally breed her as she kept having false pregnency's. 13 pups, boy what an experiance that was. She gave us many, many good years. And we miss her terribly. She was evry bit of Marmaduke. If you know of anyone in our area please let us know. My wife and I our planning our 25th Anniversary to Colorado as it has always been "HER" desire to ski. "God Help Me". I've been to your state several times in the spring, and loved it. Don't know about sking though. Anything you can find in our area would be great, but if you have any pups in January also ley us know. Thanks Mike Meyer P.S. We enjoyed the photos of your recent litter of pups. Great website! My wife and I have had blue Danes since we were kids. All four of our kids grew up loving them. The sadness upon losing our last female was a little overwhelming. We hadn't really been ready to get another pup for the past few years, though the thought has never been far from our minds. Hello terri and bobby this is "powder's" mom from yonder and freys' litter born on May 9th. Just writting to let you know that "powder" had a name change,...her name is Miss Deja Vu. She is absolutly beautiful and i have recieved many comments about how beutiful she is. However, there a lot of stupid people out there becasue people will not believe me that she is great dane they are adimit that she is a Weimerinar ....could not be a GREAT DANE...oh well. She was five months old on October 9th and weights 78 lbs, she goes everywhere with me even to school. i am getting my Vet tech degree and she has come with me multiple times to class. She has the best personality!! we call her Vu Doo because she can get a little 'crazy' sometimes!!We are currently erolled in puppy school and already knows how to sit, stay, drop, shake,give kisses and most important stay off. I am 5'8" and she can stand and give me a hugh and kiss with her front paws on my shoulders!! we thank you very much for adding a wonderful puppy to our lives!!!!! i'll send pictures Oh by the way she has been in the local paper..... she is famous!!

Hey guys! Oberon (Ebony and Frey's litter from July) is doing fantastic. He weighs 40lbs and eats like a horse. He also likes to chew on "nature". He has eaten all my houseplants and likes to hide stuff in his mouth. He has any number of things in there when he comes in the house; leaves, sticks, rocks and then "plop" it all comes out on the floor. His color is staggering and his eyes are still blue. I get so many compliments on him...but I also get people asking stupid questions. One lady walked up to me the other day and said, "Wow, when are you going to get that Weimeriners's tail docked". I said, "I would if her were a Weimeriner". She said, "What is he?" I said, "A blue great dane". She said, "Ohhh honey. I am sorry to tell you...but Great Danes don't come in that color". HOW RUDE!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK. Anyway...he is doing fantastic and is still 'close' to being housebroken. He hasn't chewed anything of importance up yet (except my rubber tree plant). What a wonderful visit I had on Sat. Oct. 5 with you guys. My boys wanted to take all of the dogs home, but we only could pick one. That was a challenge in itself,let me tell you. We had to watch the video tape twice and look at all of the digital pictures we took. We finally decided on the little Harliquein from China and Orion. We have already named her Madison!!!! Thanks so much for the time you both took with me on the phone and in person. I know we will purchase another puppy in a year or two I can just feel it. You are both wonderful and your dogs are just beautiful..:) I am a proud Great Dane owner, well almost anyway. I am interested in a great dane, preferably black, non-cropped ears, family pet. No children, back yard is 60 x 55 yds w/ 6' wrought iron fence. Currently, have a Great Pyrenees (fem.) about 7-1/2 and recently lost my Saint Bernard, who was 8+, and died of natural causes. I think his heart just gave out because he had no known problems. When I first moved to CO, I had a female Great Dane who lived until she was 12, and since then I have owned a Newfoundland, another Gr. Pyr, and the St B. Please advise what is avail. Thnaks.

I adopted her from the Maxfund Animal Rescue Shelter. I always wanted a Dane and was doing some volunteer work with Danes at the time her litter was rescued. Oberon (from Ebony and Frey's litter) is doing so well! It might be wishful thinking but I swear I think he is almost potty trained. He doesn't go in the house and he is sleeping through the night and waiting to go potty until the morning. The cat must sense that he is a puppy because he has not been mean to him at all....rather he is very interested in everything the puppy is into. If Oberon see's something...anything..it's in his mouth. We have had to be very careful about what we leave around. He came home in such great shape and he has such a wonderful spirit!! Thank you so much Terrie and Bobby for putting up with a hundred thousand questions. Everybody out there, I can tell you that Penrose treats their dogs like their children and they are very, very concerned about their well being. I can not imagine having gotten the newest member of our family from anybody else!! I LOVE your site, especially how you keep such great, weekly updated pictures of the puppies and their weights. I can tell by their "Happy" faces they are well cared for, always posing on pristine white towels and looking so alert. It is difficult to find a good, trustworthy breeder, for any breed of dog, but if the dedication you put into displaying these beautiful puppies is any hint of how well you are taking care of them, I know I have finally, FINALLY found my puppies breeder!!! I am looking for a Mantle or Mantle/Fawn mixed male. Terri & Bobby, Bronxx is 10 months and weighs 131 lbs and still growing! He is very smart too! He can do so many tricks and is very well behaved. His ears are standing perfect! Bosko is now 3 months old and weighs 40 lbs. He is not over weight just a huge boy. His ears look great and are standing, we cannot wait to have the bandages off completely! They are both very curious and love to learn new things! They are very very lovable, we could not wish for anything more. Happy bunch

After years of admiring Great Danes from afar, we are finally bringing one home of our own! We can't wait to pick up our little Lars (from Ebony & Frey's 7/18 litter)in September. To anyone considering a Dane, I can't say enough about Terri & Bobby's kennel! My husband & I visited last weekend, and their dogs are wonderful- friendly, sweet & curious. And they are loved! Their living spaces are large & open & kept very clean. I appreciate all the time & effort Terri has put into making sure all my questions are answered (& I have been asking a lot of questions!). They really know Great Danes & do a beautiful job raising them- I just hope I can do as nice of a job with ours!

I am considering a dane from Penrose Kennels and am impressed with some of the postings on this guest book. I currently live with 2 danes (I would say "own 2 danes" but fortunately, they own me. LOL I just cohabitate with them! If anyone reading this post is considering a dane but not sure, please only consider a dane if you are a wonderful, patient, caring (I could go on and on). Danes are dang near perfect with children, friends, and everyone else. They are totally "gentle giants" and are very tender hearted. I just tell my danes, "No," in a firm voice I don't even have to yell or raise my voice at them and they are deeply hurt!

Our blue baby was born on the 18th (Ebony and Frey's litter) and I am so excited I can barely stand it! I don't know how I can wait the full eight weeks!!! Thanks for being so patient with us over the last..what..year and a half?? You guys are great. Let me tell everybody out there that the kennel is spotless and the dogs are all so happy and loved it's very obvious. We have been down there two or three times and it just keeps getting better. The dogs live better than I do!!!!!

"Kody" is such a wonderful boy. I am so lucky to have found him. The original owners did not live up to their end of the Penrose adoption contract. I am quite impressed with Kody's temperment and build. When I look for another Dane I will most likely have to ddrive to Colorado!

I am the current owner of a 4yr old,170lb Merle Dane which I purchased from a breeder in Lake City,Fl.His parents have just had a litter which will be there last time breeding the two.I am waiting for one of thier puppies.(I have two weeks left HURRAY!)any how I was just out looking at pictures of puppies. Hello Terri, I just wanted to let you know Sniper finished his set of vaccinations this week. He weighed in at 45 lbs (at 15 weeks). The vet always compliments on how sweet and well behaved he is. I really love the fact that your contract states that you require the dog be returned to you if for any reason the buyer can't keep it. It only shows how much you love your dogs.
